It has been about a month since the massive shooting in the city we like so much.
That massive shooting that caused 58 people dead and over 500 injured changed vegas forever.
many DJ’s decided on taking action and open their hearts (and wallets) to assist the victims family to make sure they got enough money for medical treatment, financial support and basically provide relief.
it all started after Steve Sisolak the chairman of the Clark County Commision raised a fund by gofundme.com for the victims family’s and right now the fund stands on over 11 million dollars.
Sisolak said, “Tens of thousands of people have made their voices heard and are standing up to hate and standing together to support the victims and their families during this difficult time.” and our DJ’s made their voices heard too.
Diplo was the first one to show condolences and decided to donate 100,000 dollars and “challenged” all the other DJ’s who cares about vegas to donate too on his twitter account.
I donated $100,000 this weekend to the victims in Las Vegas. I challenge any other Dj’s or hotel owners to match it we owe it to the city ? pic.twitter.com/6LyQFEK4eA

many DJ’s accepted Diplo’s challenge and donated too.
Steve Aoki and Tiesto even doubled the money and donated 200,000 dollars each and also mentioned how vegas was their home for all of those years.

To that list joins many others DJ’s who accepted the challenge including Marshmello, Kaskade, Valentino Khan, and many others.
each donates show the sympathy for the city and of course for the victim families.
those generous donations show the respect that the DJ’s shares to their crowd.
In the end of the day, life is the most precious thing that we can have, even more than money.
Vegas gave so much for so many artists and this donation is the music’s gratitude for that amazing city.
Vegas heart is still beating, Vegas strong.
